Job Title: BRICKLAYER STATE INSTRUCTOR
The BAC 4 IN/KY Apprenticeship & Training Program is now hiring a full-time instructor for the Warsaw Training Center located at 4130 Corridor Drive, Warsaw, IN 46582. The Warsaw Training Center serves the Fort Wayne and South Bend Chapters.
Train Fort Wayne and South Bend Chapter apprentices in a classroom and shop setting.
Prepare apprentices for all aspects of the job. Create, implement, and score lessons, homework, and tests. Provide upgrade training. Monitor and document all information on apprentices. Track training and work hours in Union Track TMS and Department of Labor BPMS. Stay in communication with JATC members, contractors, and field representatives. Visit jobsites and attend meetings, career days, and ongoing instructor training.
- 10 years or more experience in the brick trade
- Computer experience with Microsoft, communication, data input
- Supervisory experience is a plus
- Updated Drug Card
- Copy of Background Check (Background checks can be retrieved online through the Indiana state police or through your local sheriff’s department for a fee)
- All applicants will be required to take a written test, a math test, and a computer test before the interview

Training Center Sites
Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship
Pre Apprenticeship includes 256 hours of basic training (M-TH, 8 hrs/day). You will learn basic elements in the use of tools and fundamentals of brick and block laying. This training prepares you for job site and apprenticeship classes.
The apprenticeship is a four year program in which apprentices gain knowledge and skill of the Masonry Trade. You will be learning on the job along with classroom and shop time. Your apprentice pay will start at 50% of a journey-worker’s rate.
