Answer: We allow experienced bricklayers to take an Improver’s Test. This allows

PRE-APPRENTICESHIP AND APPRENTICESHIP

PAID PRE-APPRENTICESHIP

256 hours of basic training (M-TH, 8 hrs/day, $350 /wk). Basic elements in the use of tools & fundamentals of brick and block laying. This 8-week/256hrs of training prepares pre-apprentices for field work as well as apprenticeship classes. Tools & materials are supplied. Pre-Apprenticeship includes paid training.

PAID APPRENTICESHIP

A four-year program which apprentices are paid while gaining the skills & knowledge of Masonry. Apprentices gain on the job training & experience along with classroom and shop time. Apprentice starting wage 50% of a journey-worker’s rate with wage increases every 750hrs of work. Once enrolled as an Apprentice, union membership & benefits are applied.
